New VAT details not showing on website; it says, MTD sign-up is automatic... ?

Hi there I have received by letter my new VAT number (on 10 Feb) but my HMRC account page shows only my OLD VAT details (deregistered in 2018). How can I sign up for MTD and get everything moving? Your website says, "All VAT registered businesses should now be signed up for Making Tax Digital for VAT. You no longer need to sign up yourself." I am registered from November and owe a small amount of VAT. I have no way to pay for this until the system is up. I can see no way to progress. Am I doing something wrong?

You can use your existing business tax account to enrol for MTD but firstly you will need to remove your old MTD enrolment from the account.

Login to your business tax accoun, select Manage Account at the top of the screen, then select Remove a tax duty or scheme and then follow the on screen instructions..

Once the old enrolment has been removed you can add your new enrolment with your new VAT number.
