How can I cancel my VAT Registration

I have applied for UK VAT as I thought I needed it for the EU VAT application, but it seems I do not need a UK VAT number. The application is being processed and I apologise for wasting anyone's time, how can I cancel the application? Ref: 099000485436

You could try emailing vrs.newregistrations@hmrc.gov.uk with your submission reference and ask them to cancel your application.

You can email vrs.newregistrations@hmrc.gov.uk quoting your reference and confirming that you you no longer need the application to be processed.
