Has anyone had this happen? Return filed on 1st, sent for further checks on 2nd and again on 3rd of August. Never had this done twice. Refund amount hasn’t changed from last quarter. Never had any issues until now. Not moving at all, not been contacted either and a delay will affect our business.

We aim to process VAT repayments as a priority.
However, we do need to carry out checks to make sure that the repayment is correct.
If the repayment is taking longer than it would normally take please contact us and we can progress the repayment for you.

How long does it take for a VAT repayment sent for further checks after the 30 days has lapsed?

We are sorry your repayment claim is  taking longer than expected. It is important that we do all the necessary checks while processing the claims.
The Compliance Team will be currently reviewing your claims but if you do need to contact our VAT team, then please do so for an update.

hello i'm in the same situation...i have a order to pay(based on my vat return) i's been nearly 30 days...no update...manufacturer is due to take legal action against the company for no payment...client is chasing me every day when i start the project...now i'm facing bankruptcy all because my ltd's vat hasn't been processed . anyone has any updates in regards with this?

I tried to contact the compliance department but to no avail and I have not received any letter either. The status is still the same. I have called several times and I am yet to receive the letter from HMRC. Do you know when the payment will be paid?
