Hello, we are a HongKong based company and registered in UK for VAT of our sales to British customers. We have checked from previous posts about VAT repayment to oversea bank. Noted that HMRC could make a payment into an overseas bank account. Our bank account fit all the criteria mentioned below: - in the name of the company owed a repayment - associated with a named business owner or an authorised person with a Government Gateway ID - able to accept repayments in pounds sterling We try to fill in the form from this link to apply for the repayment to oversea account : https://www.gov.uk/vat-repayments. The problem is the form require us to provide IBAN of the bank account. However, as Hong Kong does not exist a IBAN yet, so there is no IBAN code we could provide for the form. Would like to see how and where we could submit our bank account information to apply for the repayment ? Thanks & regards

You just leave the IBAN "box" blank. I've a client based in Australia and they don't use IBAN either, I had the same issue, but was advised to go through the form as normal and ignore the IBAN question, you can still use the SWIFT or BIC details.

Hi derekwai,
If the bank doesn't have an IBANm, are you able to provide the SWIFT code on the form?
The form should allow you to complete this without the IBAN as most non EC banks don't use IBAN.
