A customer based in Greece has set up a German branch with a valid German VAT number but with no corresponding or registered address in Germany. We have been asked to invoice them at the Greek address. Advice on if this is doable appreciated. Thanks

What are you invoicing them for at this Greek address? Goods or services. If goods, where are the goods when you sell them? It is common for a business to have more than one VAT number across the EU, so a Greek company with a German VAT number is okay, but you need to get your supply correct, so that is why it matters to understand what it is you are selling.

Hi L Whittle,
Can you elaborate on what you are supplying the customer, whether it is goods or sevices?
Are you providing these supplies from Northern Ireland or from GB?
Thank you.
