I purchased a tablet in the UK and paid VAT on it. Having left the tablet in the Republic of Ireland after a holiday, it has been couriered to me from the ROI to the UK with DPD who required me to pay import VAT. How can I reclaim this import VAT?

Hi Assuming this is a personal item you should be able to put in a reclaim for the import VAT if you have proof of purchase in the UK . You need to claim on C285 how-to-apply-for-a-repayment-of-import-duty-and-vat-if-youve-overpaid-c285
