I recieved a letter saying I owed over 100,000 in VAT and agreed to pay instalments of 13k a month. I can only assume its an error. I was out of the country during the time stated and only earned 7000 that year. I find the VAT thing very confusing and called a couple of weeks back to de register for VAT and i have another letter claiming I owe 200 and odds pounds. Its all very confusing but I dont want to end up with a fine. Everytime I call up I get put on hold for well over an hour and the person I end up speaking with never seems to be able to help. I have no idea what I do or dont owe but I know its not 100,000 odd pounds
