DIY Self Build VAT

If a barn is bought by a non VAT registered company but will ultimately be used for family use, can it still claim VAT back on the conversion?

If a non residential property is converted in to a dwelling which will be used for private purposes, then you can look at reclaiming the VAT as part of the DIY scheme.
