I have received a VAT refund cheque from HMRC and my bank doesn't accept cheques (Tide Bank). I have tried contacting HMRC by telephone but cannot get through, I have put the bank details onto the HMRC portal but they have been showing as pending for over two months now and cannot see why these are still pending and what to do to get them confirmed. I do not know the address to send the cheque back to and request a bank transfer as I cannot get hold of them on the phone. Thanks

Hi,

Please contact our VAT team and we can cancel the cheque and get it paid by BACS in to your bank.
We will also be able to see if your bank details have been updated and resolve any issues if they have no't been updated.
