16 year old Tax Code - untaxed Savings
Hi, My daughter is 16 and started her first job. Her Tax code is 1220L instead of 1250L and its says £326 untaxed interest on Savings? which has reduced her tax code, but I dont understand where this has come from or why? I need to peak to HMRC but I suspect it may prove difficult as they wont talk to me, but at 16 she doesnt know what to say/ask. Anyone know why her tax code has been reduced? Thanks
