RE: Self assessment split year - move out from UK
Hi
For the UK income, declare only the amount up to the date you left but declare all the tax deducted and this will work out the refund for you.
You cannot file online as the residence section is not supported with HMRC software and will need to purchase 3rd party - Self Assessment commercial software suppliers.
You should still include the HS304 to clarify.

RE: RDRM11510 TAXPAYER RESIDENCE: the ties test
Hi,
A home can be a building, or part of a building, a vehicle, vessel or structure of any kind which is used as a home by an individual.
It will be somewhere which an individual uses with a sufficient degree of permanence or stability to count as a home.
You should keep a travel journal to support your dates and the campsite details may be asked for as additional evidence.
Thank you

RE: Certificate of Residence
Hi is2024
You need to answer yes as you work for yourself so it is still a UK employer. the name of the PAYER is the name of the Spanish Company, that date would be when you originally came to the UK.
Periods of absence relate to employment only and for the period that the certificate covers. You would provide your own business name and address.
If there is no specific period required for the certificate, leave blank. You can estimate the income, it is article 4. If you are the beneficial owner of the income to be received, answer 'yes'.
There are no subject to tax conditions.

Re: Family gifting - tax implications in case of dual citizenship
Hi
There are no income tax implications on the receipt of a cash gift unless the cash gift generates interest or dividends.
These would then potentially be subject to tax. Further guidance can be found here (Tax on savings interest and Tax on dividends).

RE: Medical expenses reimbursement
