I haven't received an in year finalization yet. Please tell me what will now happen. Will a reminder be sent? Will I be contacted in any way to chase this up? What happens if I never receive anything and last year's tax credit award is not finalized? I do not want any possibility of having to pay anything back through no fault of my own. If I need to do something please fully explain what I need to do to to finalize my award and who I need to contact and how, if needed.

Please can someone from HMRC confirm what will happen about finalising child tax credit claim for 2023/24 if a migration notice was received in Jan 24 but a conscious decision was made not to claim UC? Will a finalisation pack be sent out and if so when? No pack has yet been received and I really don't want to get a notification that I have to pay back the whole of last year's tax credits due to an administrative error on the part of HMRC by not allowing me to finalise everything. Or, is there no finalisation process to be done by claimant when tax credits end? Please advise.
