RE: Zero VAT Rate Items Vs Deemed Supply
i have a question please : for deemed supply amazon collect and pay vat to HMRC, so do we need to include all orders or just B2B orders with our own vat and rate on the quarterly filing -
Amazon has classified us as non-established, but HMRC has issued us a VAT as an established
Hello Team, We provided the same information to both Amazon and HMRC for VAT, but Amazon classified us as non-established for VAT purposes. Consequently, they asked for VAT payments dating back to 2021. Starting in February, they began collecting and remitting VAT on our behalf. However, in March, we received a VAT number (application was on january 2024) and certificate from HMRC indicating that we are established, and our VAT verification shows our UK address. As the director working abroad, I want to clarify that the lease agreement for the office, used as our address, is solely for forwarding and shipping our parcels and letters. How should we handle this situation, given that we expected HMRC to classify us as non-established, similar to Amazon's assessment?
