Taxation on Italian investments
Hello. I am Italian, living in the UK since 2014 and I have the settled status. Unfortunately my mum passed away a few months ago and I have inherited a few investments my mum made. I decided to sell them so I will receive soon the money of the sale. The italian bank is asking me if I prefer to be taxed in Italy or in the UK. — Can you tell me how and how much this inheritance will be taxed here in the UK? — Should I declare the inheritance on my next SA? — If taxes are payable are the only payable on the capital gain?
