Cost of moving household goods to UK from US when not becoming permanent resident
Buying a house in the UK to be near children/grandchildren. Would like to bring some household goods from US to avoid having to buy everything for our new UK home. Appears we do not qualify for Transfer of Residence as we can only live in the UK 6 months per year (tho will pay taxes) as Americans w/o UK jobs (retired couple). How do we calculate what we must pay in import fees and VAT for 2nd hand personal household items?
