  • Topping up pension contributions

I have some unused pension contributions that I would like to make. The unused allowance relates to tax year 23/24, to top it up to my earnings amount, but below £60K. But I would like to make a contribution against this in tax year 24/25. Would I claim the tax relief in my tax return self assessment for year 23/24 once I have made the contribution, or in my 24/25 return?

  • Pension tax relief

I am in a salary sacrifice arrangement with my employer. Am I able to get tax relief on any additional pension contributions I make into my own SIPP up to the annual limit 60K this tax year and last year and 40k before that up to £100% of my post salary sacrifice income. Or can I not do this when i am in a salary sacrifice situation?
