  • Part of Bonus Paid in Incorrect Tax Year

Hi, I was due to receive an end of year bonus of £4925 in my March 2024 play slip. There was a miscalculation by my employer and I only received a bonus of £4025. They then said they would pay me the remainder (£900) in my next pay slip (April 2024. Unfortunately this means that I will be paying more tax as in the 23/24 tax year my salary was below the 40% tax threshold due to some unpaid parental leave. This tax year my salary will be at least £56500 so the additional £900 I should have received last tax year will now be subject to 40% tax instead of 20%. Is there anything that can be done to remedy this?
