Hi, I'm currently going through a mortgage application but it's been flagged up that my 23/24 tax year overview and SA302 don't match. It turns out after speaking to HMRC (90 mins on hold first!) that my submitted tax account is 'stuck' in the HMRC computer and needs a specialist team to unblock it. They won't give me any time frame for this to be done or any contact details. All they'll say is it's been flagged as 'Urgent' but it may take a week, it may take 6 months. Basically I'm stuck in limbo and unable to proceed with the purchase of a house (offer accepted) for myself and young family through no fault of my own. I'm really at a loss what to do as there is no accountability from HMRC and it's very worrying this may drag out. Does anyone have any experience in this or advice? Thanks
