Company is refusing to issue EIS3 certificate for an investment
I invested in a company via the Crowdcube platform and have made a loss upon exit. I want to declare this loss on my self-assessment and claim EIS Loss Relief, but Crowdcube did not issue me with an EIS3 certificate when investing, and despite me asking nicely, they are now refusing to provide me with it on a technicality (at no point during the investment did I ever declare that I did not want a certificate). I am completely sure that the investment is EIS-compliant. My question for you is: are the company providing my investment legally obliged to provide me with an EIS3 certificate if I bought in via them and the investment itself is compliant with the scheme? Do I have any redress if the company refuse to issue it?
