  • RE: German/UK Income Tax Help

Thank you very much for the help I greatly appreaciate it. I know this is not the self-assessment forum but just as a last question before I wait until I receive my Steuerbescheinigung from the banks at the end of the German tax year, will I be able to upload those documents whilst filling out the self-assessment or will I just have to point out that I have the documents and am waiting to supply them as they do prove annual income and taxation of said income simultaneously?
  • RE: German/UK Income Tax Help

Perfect, thank you. Just out of interest, would an end of the year statement by my respective banks, including a special section on all of the taxes withdrawn throughout the year, suffice as proof of local taxation?
  • German/UK Income Tax Help

Hello, I moved to the UK for my first post-University full time job in July of 2023 and a few days ago had the shock of remembering that I have ETF saving accounts in Germany that I may be liable to pay taxes for in the UK and am now slightly panicking. As the taxes are automatically withdrawn by the German authority from the accounts it simply skipped my mind. Both of my savings portfolios (ETF) combined have accrued roughly 4,600 EUR (~£3,873) in gains/value since the 01.01.2023. Could I please ask for some advice on wherever I need to report this income since it is already taxed in Germany or what my next steps would be? Thank you very much for any help in advance.
