Loss of Personal Allowance for Remittance Basis
Dear Sir or Madam I read the guide below. https://www.gov.uk/hmrc-internal-manuals/residence-domicile-and-remittance-basis/rdrm32040 It said "One of the consequences of deciding to make a claim under ITA07/s809B to be taxed on the remittance basis is the loss of entitlement to various personal tax allowances (PAs) and the annual exempt amount (AEA) for capital gains tax purposes." My question is if I choose the remittance basis for this year, then I lost my various personal tax allowances (PAs) and the annual exempt amount (AEA) for capital gains tax purposes only for this year. But if I choose the arising basis next year, will I gain back my PAs and AEA for next year? I only lost my PAs and AEA on that year if I claim the remittance basis? Thank you
