  • CGT when selling only property

I jointly bought a house with my now ex partner in 2013, with a joint mortgage. Social services advised me to leave the family home following domestic abuse in 2020 and I and child have been living with my parents since then. My furniture remains at the house where my ex partner continues to live. After much legal help I finally got my ex partner to agree to put the house on the market in 2023. We now have a buyer. The conveyancer has asked if the house is my principle residence. I do not own any other property and wish to buy another home for myself and child once the house is sold. The property has of course increased in price since original purchase. Do I have to pay CGT?
