Dear Sirs Thanks for your reply. I got the result of less than 16 days. However, I'm not sure such 16 days can be excluded the number of working days on behalf of overseas company, The overseas company provided hotel and living expenses for the business trip in UK. Thanks & Regards -
Counting Days in UK
Dear Sirs I left UK on 1st Jan 2023 and became to receive NO UK income. During the tax year 2023/2024, I employed oveseas, reported self-assessment and stayed in UK with my family for 12 days only. In the current tax year 2024/2025, I had stayed with my family for 14 days in UK. However, my employer requested me to handle a business transaction and requires me to stay in UK for 8 days. During this period, my employed also offer me hotel and meal allowance. I read the examples and rules, it seems the business trip is not exempted in counting days in UK. However, I'm working on behalf of my overseas employer and living in hotel. Does my business trip count for days in UK? Many thanks John -

RE: Local and Oveseas income self assessment for 2023/2024
Thanks for your reply. After reading "How to fill in your tax return", I still confused to complete SA100 form page TR2. The first item "Employment". As I lived and employed overseas, I should put "X" in the box Yes or No. The reason for me to raise this query becuase I put a "X" in box "Yes", then, I need to fill-in Form SA 102 Employmnet, and I found the employment information relying to P45 or P60 but overseas countries does not have such kind of forms. Or, Form SA102 merely require to fill-in UK employment income? Then, it implies Form SA100 Employment should put a "X" in box "No". May I have your kind advice. Many thanks John -
Local and Oveseas income self assessment for 2023/2024
Dear officers I left UK in Mar 2023 and completed P85 form to HMRC. I have merely stayed 12 days to visit my family up to now since Mar 2023. However, I haven't closed my local bank account and receveid GBP100 from non-ISA account, then, no other income in UK. On the othe hand, I have oversea employment and oveseas deposit income during the tax year 2023/2024. Currently, I got SA100, 102 and 106 forms. So, I complete these forms to HMRC are sufficient?
