cash basis accounting. buying laptop as business expense. two year rule
assuming cash basis accounting, if i were to buy a laptop as a business expense, am i expected to only use it for a maximum of two years before disposing of or upgrading it? -
cash basis accounting. selling laptop to upgrade. how to account for sale price received
assuming cash basis accounting, if i purchased a laptop and used 50% business and 50% personal and claimed 50% relief on the cost as business expense and eventually sold that laptop (say in a subsequent tax year and at a loss) to upgrade to a newer laptop, do i declare 50% of the money on the sale as income for the business?
