  • Self-Assessment registration has been rejected for 3 times

My wife and I have submitted applications for registering self-assessment for 3 times, and all of that are being rejected, given the same reason "because your personal details do not match our records". We did login HMRC online service to ensure the name, address and NI number do match what we filled in the online SA1 forms. On the day of my first registration, I also just submitted a name change (because one of the words in my first name is omitted) and address change (because I moved on that week as well). I am not sure if this causes the rejects. So I called the HMRC hotline after the first reject, the agent said I changed name and address, and asked me to register again. However, the next two applications were also being rejected. We moved to the UK last August and this is the first time we register for self-assessment. Would you please advise what we could do to complete the registration?
