  • Tax relief on personal pension contribution

Hello, I'm a 40% rate payer and employed. My pension pot is funded monthly with a part coming from my employer and the other from the salary sacrifice scheme. However, last year I decided to put some extra money into my pension pot with my own funds. I could see that I had 20% tax relief on that lump sum straight away. However, my question is, can I claim the other 20% tax relief back on that lump sum? If so do I have to do a self assessment? Thanks
