  • NI adult childcare credits.

Hi, I received my state pension on 25th December 2023. Despite having over 45 years of NI credits I still do not receive the full new state pension. I did receive adult children credit for the year Apr’22 - Apr’23 which did increase my new state pension by £5.32 per week, but still left me approximately £20/week short of the full new state pension. My question is, am I able to claim this credit, as I am still caring for my grandson, for the period Apr’23 until I reached 66 years old and received my state pension on 25th December 2023? This period would equate to approximately 70% of a full years credit and correspondingly increase my new state pension by just over £4 per week.
