RE: Foreign dividend received in form of other listed company shares
Thanks for your reply. I believe that the foreign (Hong Kong) listed shares received should be considered as foreign dividend income. The problem is that how to quantify the amount of that dividend income? As there is no dividend voucher received with the value stated on it, and there is no cash option available. Is it appropriate that the number of shares received multiplied by the closing market price of that shares on the day the stock dividend received? Please advise, thanks. -
RE: Foreign Stock Dividends
Hi If the foreign stock dividend is considered as dividend income, how to work out the amount of income? Is the number of shares received multiplied by the closing market price of that stock on the day the stock dividend received? Please advise, thanks. -
Foreign dividend received in form of other listed company shares
I have shares in a Hong Kong listed company, its business included investment in other Hong Kong listed companies. Last year, it declared dividend to distribute some of its holdings in these listed companies. I received such shares in other list companies as dividends, please advise how to report such foreign dividend, thanks.
