Cannot file a VAT return for one day
We requested VAT deregistration of an entity from 31/3/2023. Instead deregistration was done from 2/4/2023 and we should file a one day return for 1/4/2023. Our MTD compliant VAT software support provider has said 'There appears to be an error for INVALID_DATE_RANGE coming from HMRC's end. I have seen this on HMRC's guidance before and it appears when you have a period over 366 days. I think it must also flag if the period is too short of a range such as the 1 day here. I think you will need to contact them to see how we should proceed.' Please advise how to submit a one day return when we cannot submit a one day return?
