I want to pay my Tax bill using the credits I have in my HMRC account. How do I apply these credits to my payment? I've completed my 23/24 tax returns 3 days ago. Currently in my account it says that the credits will pay my tax bill on 31 January 2025, but can I use it to pay it now so I can cancel my self assessment account afterwards? I have left the UK and don't need to submit a tax return for 24/25 year and don't want to have to wait until next year before I can cancel my self assessment account.
