P800 - Tax Thresholds
On the P800 it states that Income Tax Rate depends upon income AFTER deductions and allowances have been taken off. On the form just received I face a demand for the higher tax (40%) bracket, but my income after allowances is way below the transition amount. No explanation for this is provided. Why is this please?
