Hi I'm looking to buy a used car that qualifies for VAT and export it to an EU country where I'm a permanent resident. The used car dealers have declined to issue a zeroed VAT invoice and suggested that I pay the VAT and reclaim the VAT myself, provided I export the car within a 3-month window. Could you please confirm if their statement is accurate? Additionally, what would be the procedure to reclaim the VAT if I purchase the car with a standard VAT invoice and export it timely to an EU country? Thanking you in advance for your help P
