  • NI refund - Expats transferred to UK

I made NI contribution during my employment in UK during Jun'19 to Jul'22 (3 years service). My NI contributions which forms part of my life savings during Jun 2019 to Jul 2022 whilst working in UK under Tier 2 ICT (Intra Company Transfer visa), which do not allow for permanent settlement in UK and as I do not have opportunity to avail the retirement benefits in the foreseeable future at UK. Since the assignment was purely temporary in nature within the company transfer(India & UK), I requested HMRC to refund the NI accumulations however the claim was rejected multiple times . Could anyone/HMRC review the merit of my case and suggest solutions for successful NI refund as I no more work in UK and do not have foreseeable future working in UK to claim the social benefits.
