Amending Property Valuation In Probate Application
When I submitted the property valuation of my late Mums bungalow on line for probate, I confirmed a figure of £160000. This was based on two recent sales of similar local properties of £140000 and £180000 respectively. A recent RICS survey of the property has confirmed a valuation of £170000. Can the property valuation for probate be amended prior to probate being issued ? At the moment, although the on line form gas been submitted, I still need to send in the original will so probate cannot be issued until this is received. Also, although I am sole executor of the Will, the proceeds from the sale of the property and any funds remaining will be split between myself and my brother who lives in New Zealand. If there is any CGT to pay, would this be split equally as I would receive half the estate or, as sole executor, am I responsible for paying all of it ?
