Am I Non-Dom
Hi, I have been working in the Middle East for 6 years. I am a resident in the country I'm working, but a UK citizen. I get 30 days leave a year, of which I return to UK. My wife is in UK and I pay a mortgage on a property there. There is no tax arrangement with the country I live. My salary is paid into my local bank here and I transfer a monthly sum to cover bills in UK for my property. Am I considered Non-Dom and not eligible for payment of income tax? I do have a private pension in UK paid into my UK bank and I am taxed on that. I am not in UK for more than 30-40 days a year. -
