  • RE: Private Pensions

Hello, I work with NHS Scotland as a doctor. I work very hard (six days a week with night duties) and my salary after NHS pension contribution is 125,000£/year. Due to high pay, I am paying a large amount of Tax, with loss of Personal allowance. I want to save that tax. If I invest in SIPP with 20,000£ this year , what tax relief I will get ? How much my taxable income would be? Also, will I get any personal allowance back out of 12570£? How much will be my Personal saving allowance after I do the SIPP ? Please do the calculation and provide me with some estimate, rather than giving a link, as I have tried all the links and still extremely confused. I will be highly obliged. Thanks. Dr GG
