Tax on Pension Compensation?
A pension company messed up the transfer of my pension pot to an annuity provider and have agreed to pay me some compensation and some lost interest. I understand that I will need to pay tax on the interest payment but do I need to declare and pay tax on the compensation as well or is the compensation tax free?
