RE: State Pension Query.
I am a Canadian who lived and worked in the UK for 3 years. I paid into the state pension plan every month but when I had to move home it was never refunded. I received tax overpayment back, which the Canadian government promptly took, but none of the funds directed to the pension. I’m 55 years old now and unlikely be returning to work there at this stage. How do I get my 3 years of payments back? I’m aware I do not qualify for a monthly pension payment, but I should have my contributions returned under the treaty agreements.
