RE: SIPP payment - what to enter in self assessment form
Got it for question 1, thank you. For question/box 2 --- The full 3000 is a one of payment. So in the second box do I put nothing, 3000 or 3750? -
SIPP payment - what to enter in self assessment form
I paid 3000 into my SIPP pension and got pack 750 as tax relief. Self Assessment Section - Paying into registered pension schemes and overseas pension schemes Question 1 - "Payments to registered pension schemes (also known as PPR) where basic rate tax relief will be claimed by your pension provider (called 'relief at source'). Enter the payments and basic rate tax:" Do I put 3750 here? The example says 20% but looks like I got back 25% . Question 2 - "Total of any 'one-off' payments to registered pension schemes included in the 'Payments to registered pension schemes where basic rate tax relief will be claimed by your pension provider' box:" As it was a one-off payment, I should put 3000 here. is that correct?
