  • Where do I enter Airbnb income on my self assessment?

Hi, I am self employed and do my self assessment online. In 2023-24 I rented out my whole home (co-owned with my husband) for 7 nights on Airbnb whilst we were on holiday and for the first time earned more than £1000. The money was paid in to my account. I have some questions; - Where do I enter the Airbnb income on the self assessment? Do I have to do it through the 'UK rental property' section or can I enter it as 'any other income'? - The house is owned jointly but I received the income and kept all the income form the Airbnb rental. Do I have to tick the box that says we have a jointly owned property if my husband didn't receive income in to his account from the Airbnb? We didn't split it 50/50. - Can I receive up to £1000 tax free on my Airbnb income? - It won't let me say that I have zero expenses. Even for such a small income do I have to enter council tax/mortgage payments etc? As a couple we divide our finances in a way where council tax/mortgage payments are paid out of his account, separate to mine. The only Airbnb costs that I have are for cleaning - a casual relationship with a family member with no receipts. Any help with this very much appreciated.
