  • RE: Correct registration for VAT for foreign company without UK address

Hi, thank you for your response. Unfortunately, the situation has repeated and the another foreign limited liability company that we registered as 'NETP' has been registered as a 'Sole trader' with the applicant's name listed as the business name. All the data in the form is filled in correctly by us, in accordance with the guidelines. So is it possible for you to verify if the VAT registration form is correct? Is there a possibility that the companies are being registered incorrectly due to a system error?
  • Correct registration for VAT for foreign company without UK address

Hi, could you please provide information on whether, when applying for the registration of a foreign limited liability company from the EU that does not have a registered address in the UK, it should be marked as "NETP" or "Non-UK Company"? According to the information on the HMRC website, such a company should be registered as "NETP." However, when we applied, the limited liability company was mistakenly registered as a "Sole Trader," and the VAT number was issued under the applicant's details instead of the company's details. What should be done in this situation? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks you
