Hello HMRC, I thanks for the updated into. I have applied for the form CA8421 a month ago and today I have received the following answer: Action needed: there are no previous certificates A1 have been issued and new application needs to be completed A CA8421 with full employment details to get A1 and S1 for yourself. Firtstly: I never ever in the past needed ro apply for A1. Secondly: Based on the form CA8421 you said to use (as above) I can not see any option where to submit employment details.??? We seems to be going round the circles here. The letter I have received today is asking me to supply employment details. HMRC- where do I get the form to supply these details? In the past all the required questions were all on one form we used to fill out. So in reality - the form to apply for S1 is not working for any of us. Please, kindly check my last year submission with to see what form we have used for past years. 22nd August 2023. I hope this will be resolved ASAP as I am left without any health cover ( having heart diseases) and need to see doctors regularly or sometimes urgently. Prompt response will be much appreciated.

He everyone! Finally someone raising this issue. Thank you so much Remko! I am am at the same situation as you. I have been getting S1 forms for myself since 2014 without any problems. This year, the correct form seems to dissappear from the government website. I have been having battles with the HMRC since August. Remko- you are right- we have a right to this form and getting access to medical treatment s which we are now deprived of!! After numerous phone calls to HMRC customer services people were not able to tell me where to find the correct form. NhS are also not of any help either as they said they have nothing to do with it as they only deal with S1 for pensioners. Due to this issue I now have no medical cover where I live - Czech Republic since October where it was meant to be issued. I hope this will be resolved quickly!
