I contacted the Income Tax Helpline to claim backdated Marriage Allowance. My husband died last October, but the online advice clearly states that I can still claim. However the adviser I spoke to said that because my husband was dead I wasn't able to claim, and didn't suggest any alternative way to apply. What should I do now?
