RE: Starting Rate for Savers - Pension Contributions
Hello, Many thanks for your response, however this is not clear as far as SRFS calculations. Does SRFS use the adjusted net income from this link? https://www.gov.uk/apply-tax-free-interest-on-savings does not indicate "Adjusted personal allowances" it states "Wages" Many thanks -
Inheritance Tax on Pension Pots
I notice in the latest Budget that inheritance tax will now be charged on any remaining funds within a pension. How does this tally with all transaction between husband and wife being free of tax? I can understand it you're trying to pass on to your descendants, but not to your wife. -
Starting Rate for Savers - Pension Contributions
Dear Sir, I'm hoping that you can clarify the options with the SRFS and pension contributions. If I'm paid £11K pa from my employer of which £1K is sacrificed for my pension, would I use £10K as my income when calculating my SRFS allowance? Similarly, if I also receive an income from a rental property, circa £5K pa, I understand that this is counted as general income for the purpose of SRFS calculations. If I was to make a direct, Lump sum, contribution to my pension and claim back any 20% tax due, would this pension contribution lower my income for the purpose of SRFS calculations? Many thanks
