RE: Marriage allowance transfer
Solved (eventually), The giver has to request it to happen via a separate link (explained in the help text). Should be made clearer for both giver and receiver (why not add the necessary questions automatically?) -
Marriage allowance transfer
I've just created SA returns for both me and my wife. My wife's calculation includes a £1260 reduction for marriage allowance transfer but mine does not include a corresponding £1260 increase. Is this my data entry error or a flaw in the calculations? -
RE: Maximum SIPP contribution

Maximum SIPP contribution
I am retired, aged 73, in receipt of state pension, and with no income from employment. I have previously invested £2880 each year but have now received some one-off consultancy income (around £10k). I believe I can invest all of this into my SIPP. What is the annual limit I can invest please? Is it my total consultancy income or total consultancy income plus £2880? -
Split year treatment of UK retirement pension income
Entering my first self-assessment return after returning to UK. I qualify for split-year treatment (case 4). My only UK income in 2023-24 prior to my return on 1/9/23 was my UK retirement pension. Under pension income received should I enter the 12 month full tax year amount or only the amount received (7 months) after I returned to live in UK?
