  • Personal Saving Allowance

Hi, I have bank account outside UK and receive very small amount of interest during the tax year. Total amount is not exceed Personal Saving Allowance. Do I need to send tax return?
  • RE: Trading Allowance

Thanks for your reply. So, as information mentioned above, In my cases, I can deduct income from unwanted item (£500) myself and the rest of them (£850) is no need register the self assessment because it's under £1000 trading allowance, even total year sales is over £1000. Am I correct? Because online platform will send digital report and my details to HMRC. I don't want to explain to HMRC when they ask me why not register self assessment.
  • Trading Allowance

I am quite confused about trading allowance(£1000) I have full time job and I am an online seller as a side hustle. For the last tax year total income from online selling is around £1350, but part of the income (around £500) is from my used clothing, collection of books etc(all I owned myself). As I know I don't need to pay tax for selling Used item. The rest of the income (£850) is from selling goods. So do I need to send a Self Assessment tax return as self-employment? or I can deduct the Used Item income and claim £1000 trading allowance for £850? Thanks for your help =]
