  • Private Residential Relief - main property but rented out.

Hello, We purchased our house in 2000 and lived in it until 2016 when we moved out to live in a rented property which is disabled accessible for a family member. We continue to live in a rented house. We have rented our house to private tenants. Can we nominate our house as our Principal residence since we only own one property and have no interest in the rented property for CGT purposes? We extended the house around 20 years ago, I have not kept any receipts of statements to evidence what it cost if we are liable for CGT. Many Thanks
