Good morning, I wish to create a Personal Tax Account to check if my postal address and name are up to date in HMRC’s system. My accountant is trying to create a self assessment form (to then fill a volontary worldwide disclosure) but his attempts get rejected because the address does not match. I have a non UK passport and when checking my ID with the app, it returns my maiden name only so I get a message that my ID could not be checked. HELP ME PLEASE, I cannot get to speak to anyone when calling the tax office, I get cut off. Would it help if I were to send a copy of my passport, P60 and proof of address to HMRC by postal mail, for them to update my name as it is in my passport, and possibly my address if not correct?
