When our father died my brother and I inherited 2 properties in South Africa which were sold by his Estate which is managed by the Executors. CGT in South Africa was paid by the Estate on the gain between date of death and date of sale. Eventually the proceeds have been paid to us now that the Estate is nearly wound up. Is UK CGT payable on the property sale?
