  • First time buyer/ inherited a house

Hello, My mum recently passed away, and since then I have purchased my own house - when my solicitor tried to access my LISA she found I no longer qualify for the government bonus as I’ve “inherited” a house. The house in question was my mother’s, it will never be in my name as it’s currently on the market to be sold and it’s under the executor of the wills name and will be split between 5 individuals (myself included). I’ve tried to contact the LISA themselves but they said it’s an HMRC issue. Does anyone know anymore information about how to get the 25% government bonus back. I don’t qualify to pay stamp duty as that still classes me as a first time buyer so I don’t understand why this doesn’t also apply? Thank you
